Sing along!

"When I get older, I will be stronger They'll call me freedom, just like a wavin' flag.."

Tough Stuff

In the book Chicken Soup For The Teenage Soul, there was a question which goes like this:

Write here what advice you would give to someone who is feeling suicidal.

This was what I wrote:

"Don't get fooled by anything negative. Problems and trials in life have a way of making it seem like it's all much harder than it is. Don't even be ashamed to feel like you have thought of suicide. You won't believe how many people have actually thought of ending their life at one phase or another but managed to brush off the thought off their mind. We all falter. We all fail sometimes.

Once you give in to problems, you are almost doomed unless you decide to rise from challenges. Each time you rise, you are nurturing the strength inside of you. You may be surprise. Speaking from experience, most of the time you are much stronger than you think you are.

You think you are suffering? Well, guess what, millions of people feel the same way from all sorts of different reasons. You can't find a reason why and you feel like there's no way out. Millions of people out there struggle to make it through their days.

I am not going to say, if they can survive, why can't you?

All I want to ask is, if everyone decide to commit suicide because of suffering, what is the point of strength, will and endurance? Where is your sense of worth then?"

I know this is a pretty heavy emotional post but I believe it's important for you and for me to know that we all matter.

Sing with me!

'Cause it's you and me and all other people
with nothing to do,
nothing to lose

and it's you and me
and all other people
and I don't know why I can't keep my eyes off you ..."

"They're just words, they ain't worth nothing
Cloud your head and push your buttons
And watch how they just disappear
When we're far away from here"

Definition Of Life;

Life can be about one thing or a million of things. In the end, you create your own definition of life.

Laughed till I teared;

"I'm glad you're talking again, Dwayne. You're not nearly as stupid as you look."

- From the movie, Little Miss Sunshine.

I watched the movie 'Little Miss Sunshine' a while back. I must say it wasn't exactly what I expected. I expected a comedy. Turned out to be mostly reality. There was one scene which got me laughing till I teared up though.

I haven't really blog about anything except for quotes. I had to make an exception for this post. What can I say, the movie is worthy of praise. Thumbs up for the reality instilled in the movie!

Pay it forward will you?

"I think some people are too scared or something to think things can be different. I guess it's hard for some people who are used to things the way they are even if they're bad to change. And they kind of give up. When they do, everybody...they kind of loses."
