Meant to be;

Haha the picture above = exactly how I felt whenever I was teaching.

The exhaustion got overwhelming at times but boy, was it satisfying. Being around the little ones, nurturing them and being nurtured by them (believe it or not, the little ones can teach you plenty!) is a blessing!

Now that I'm on this phase after polytechnic, I'm wondering if I should continue teaching or pursue something out of my comfort zone (child-related).

What is it going to be?

How long?

The sun is filling up the room, and I can hear you dreaming
Do you the feel the way I do right now?
I wish we would just give up, cause the best part is falling
Call it anything but love.
And I will make sure to keep my distance.
Say I love you when you're not listening.
And how long can we keep this up, up, up?

It wasn't long enough, but hey what do I know?

I miss you so much

Your light, your smile, your way
and everything about us.
Now you're gone,
You're still here in my heart, in my tears.
Yeah you sure left your mark.
And we were just getting started.

It wasn't long enough,

It wasn't long enough together
but it was long enough,
yeah it was long enough to last forever.

More to come;

And still,
I have more to make.

I'll get there.
Definitely.
I have faith.

Decided;

I'm following my inner voice.
Glad to have made a decision no matter the outcome.

The wonder;

You,
the one who got me wondering

You,
still makes me wonder

You,
will I ever stop wondering?

The day I faltered;

The day I thought I had it all figured out
was the day I faltered.

Because it's not enough to know what to do.
Because it's not enough to try it once or twice.
Because it's not enough to just believe in something.

It's important to keep trying.
It's important to keep nurturing.
It's important to keep doing what is necessary,
despite the obstacles,
despite the disappointments,
despite the times giving up becomes an option,
and especially when mistakes occur.

I'm grateful there was a voice.

A voice who did not hesitate.
A voice who pointed out a mistake.
A voice who reminded me of what I believe in.
For nothing enlightens more
than a guiding light.

Thank YOU.

My bonfire heart;

Can you hear me singing to this :

"Days like this leads to
Nights like this leads to
Love like ours
You light the spark in my bonfire heart

People like us
We don't need that much
Just someone that starts
Starts the spark in our bonfire hearts!"

:) :)

Love the song by James Blunt!

We made a difference afterall.

This scene from this movie reminds me of an important lesson.

To some, a child's drawing may just be nothing more than a drawing. Wait till you receive one from a child who very simply appreciates you. It's one of the best feeling in the world, remarkable. It may just be the thing that you need.

I have a dream;

This, my dear, is my dream.

Speak up;

“Confronting our feelings and giving them appropriate expression always takes strength, not weakness. It takes strength to acknowledge our anger, and sometimes more strength yet to curb the aggressive urges anger may bring and to channel them into nonviolent outlets. It takes strength to face our sadness and to grieve and to let our grief and our anger flow in tears when they need to. It takes strength to talk about our feelings and to reach out for help and comfort when we need it.”
― Fred Rogers

Sometimes people need to know that they have hurt you even though in the process of telling them, you may be hurting them. Otherwise, they will never know what they have done wrong. There are times you need to be fair to yourself, just like how you are fair to others. You cannot please everyone and end up not being fair to yourself. Now that's called not loving yourself and loving yourself is equally important as loving others.

Times like this;

"Life is beautiful
but it's complicated, we barely make it.
We don't need to understand
There are miracles, miracles."

A sign or coincidence?

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

A message you need to hear;

Where is your heart?
Where is your conscience?
Where is that gut feeling that tells you right from wrong,
that tells you to act morally?

In face of fear,
don’t silent your conscience.
In face of ignorance,
don’t ignore your gut feeling.
In face of adversities,
don’t let go of compassion.
For you never know,
what could have been
if you listen to your gut
and you make a stand.
That one act from you,
can make all the difference in a life.

LISTEN.
Listen hard to what your heart is telling you
and speak up.
Stand up for somebody.
Reach out for someone who is in need
for your love and care means the world to a life in agony.

My words;

My words,

they are stuck within my mind
and my heart.

I try to get it out.
I try to pen it down
but it doesn't feel right.
It doesn't seem to fit anywhere.

So many words
in my thoughts,
yearning to be heard.

My words,
it makes me wonder.
Will I ever make it fit
and
will it have any meaning?

My words,
even though cluttered,
it gives me life,
it gives me hope,
it gives me room to breath
and it brings me serenity.
The kind of serenity
I can only find
in the beauty of words.

My words,
My story,
the very part of me
which makes me whole.
